Some books that are worth reading can be difficult to understand, or can leave us wondering if our children really got anything out of it.
When I was a teacher, I was told that my job was to unlock the difficult ideas, vocabulary, and context in a book so that my students were engaged. That is exactly what this study does for you!
You can use Unlocking Little Pilgrim's Progress with the original Helen Taylor edition, or the more recent Helen Taylor edition, which is illustrated by Joe Suthpin. The study highlights the vocabulary in each chapter so that the character's names have a recognizable meaning, and asks questions that get straight to the worth ideas. It also incorporates scripture, so that this timeless allegory is more clear.
At the end of every four chapters, your student will have some independent work where they will answer well-thought-out questions, write copywork passages, and memorize scripture, allowing them to spend time reflecting on what they learned.
